Programme Project Manager – Healthcare – Dublin based – May 2017 - Urgent
Our client a major private hospital group, based in Dublin wish to appoint a Programme Project Manager to head up internal and external strategies and implement innovative operational plans in two specific disease areas that will deliver on significant innovative care of their patients for the future.
The role is a full time permanent position
To co-lead on the design, development and delivery of two major disease area strategies and budgets through a range of programmes, services and initiatives. These will vary from the commercial evaluation and set-up of new clinical services, to the evaluation, revitalisation and re-engineering of patient pathways optimising service and experience, to the day to day operational and performance management of business activities vs budget
The successful person must have the skills and ability to develop business cases, strategy and tactical plans and demonstrate proven ability to successfully execute projects from concept to delivery. This will require effective stakeholder engagement and management with the multiple clinical and operational teams.
This person must also have strong commercial & analytical acumen with proven ability to prepare reports and presentations to evaluate performance against financial and operational metrics.
Minimum of 5 years working in a Pharma/Healthcare - senior commercial, project management, general management, or operational management role.
Proven experience leading a team to successfully deliver projects from concept to delivery on time and within budget with demonstrable return. Must possess a strong capability in strategic planning and execution.
Proven & demonstrable project management experience, in particular, knowledge of workflow processes and change management.
Excellent analytical skills, with ability to generate and interpret data and draw conclusions to introduce positive change
Strong IT skills and computer literacy – proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Microsoft project or similar
Excellent interpersonal skills & organisational skills with demonstrable passion for stakeholder engagement and management
An ability to work to tight deadlines
Dynamic, enthusiastic and highly motivated with ability to work on own initiative
Ability to develop strategy and tactical plans to deliver on our clients vision and goals
Strong Commercial and analytical acumen with proven ability to prepare and evaluate business cases
Strong operational and project management skills.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
Ability to deliver complex change initiatives.
Solution orientated focus with an ability to remove roadblocks.
Innovative approach to existing processes and procedures and ability to work in conjunction with other departments and deliver on revised methodology and solutions to achieve operational effectiveness.
Comfortable working in a commercial role while at the same time ensuring patient safety standards are maintained.
Leadership skills capable of building and sustaining productive, effective working relationships.
