Country Brand Leader – Cardiology – Dublin based – June 2017 - Urgent

Our client, a major pharmaceutical company, based in Dublin, wish to appoint a Country Brand Leader - Cardiology to join their team. They are looking to recruit a senior marketing person with a minimum of 8 years’ pharma marketing experience.


  • Senior Manager (Marketing) role.

  • Minimum 8 years’ Pharmaceutical marketing experience required

  • Ideally, have people management – 1 direct report

  • Branding experience needed

  • Good leadership skills

  • Ideally Cardiovascular exposure


  • ·         Be the lead person representing the brand at a country level. Lead and coordinate the in country brand/TA cross functional teams (XFT)
    • Drive customer operation excellence at country level and bring customer insight into BU to influence/shape Brand/Customer European Strategy
    • Lead the flawless implementation/roll-out of POA at country level
    • To be the market expert with full understanding of their environment, competitors and customer needs to inform the overall country plan and revenue/ budget forecasting.


  • Reports to Country Manager/ IM Lead. Has strong relationships with all relevant internal stakeholders in country (e.g. sales management, PEH digital, medical function, access, finance, legal and above country (e.g. BTL, regional Customer and digital marketers).


  • Execution of brand strategy in country - lead implementation of key Regional brand programs and development of local activity as needed.
    • Leadership of in country cross functional team, this will involve leadership of others that need to collaborate in the various activities in order to achieve success and will involve coordinating and directing their activities.
    • Accountability for hitting local sales target and developing regular forecast updates to aid financial planning. Country forecasting input into overall European numbers
    • Accountable for the planning, spending & controlling of budgets agreed for own areas of responsibility.
    • Collaborate with customer facing leadership team to ensure implementation of agreed brand strategy.
    • Support product training.
    • Coordination with customer facing medical, local customer marketing and local e-marketing colleagues for customer/digital activities/programs.
    • Accountability for evaluating effectiveness of brand activity in country.
    • Thorough understanding of the local customer market place ensure that customer insights and market issues are well understood and inform the overall European plans


Experience of managing revenues and costs
• Track record of working collaboratively/with others across functions
• Experience of interaction with external stakeholders/acting upon customer insights
• Strong marketing experience
• Can do mentality
• Knowledge of local regulatory policies.
