Hospital Territory Manager – Interventional Oncology/Vascular - Medical Devices - Dublin based - March 2018 - Urgent

Our client, a major global Medical device company wish to appoint a Hospital Territory Manager based in Dublin to join their team to promote and sell their Peripheral Interventional Oncology/Vascular Medical Devices

The role is a full time permanent position and is a Nationwide role with the emphasis on Dublin and Belfast hospitals along with hospitals in Waterford, Cork and Galway.

The core objective of this role is to support the Divisional Manager in achieving the goals and objectives of the Division they represent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop further as professional sales person by acquiring working knowledge and selling techniques.  Able to tackle a variety of issues, general knowledge in medical device industry (BSC and competitors).
  • Visit customers and/or potential customers of our client on a regular and planned basis to promote products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager.
  • Manage existing and acquire new customers in the assigned territory under general supervision of the Manager.
  • With limited instructions of Manager, plan and develop the market for our existing and new products according with divisional goals and objectives, through execution, while optimize available tools (consignment, etc.).
  • Provide ongoing technical training and support to customers directly in Radiology Suites
  • Cultivate wide range of business relationships with hospital management, purchasing department and hospital staff.
  • Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote our clients’ Scientific products and services.
  • Analyze and report to the Manager and/or others (monthly & year basis) the market and business feedback by using all available support tools.
  • To represent our clients’ company values and integrity.
  • Upon request may lead a project team of moderate scope.

Candidate Profile

  • Good Educational back ground. Graduate calibre or relevant clinical qualification.
  • Field based experience in clinical sales or relevant technical field.
  • Strong Interpersonal skill
  • Customer focussed with strong influencing skills.
  • Good administrations and IT/computing skills
  • Commercially aware
  • Able to manager complex business
  • Time management skills
  • Self-motivated – team player
  • Demonstrated experience in selling to procurement professionals
  • Able to sell into Physicians and Consultants in a theatre
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Outstanding presentation and teaching skills
